Laparoscopy meaning

Laparoscopy is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that allows doctors to examine and operate on the organs inside the abdomen through small incisions. During the procedure, a laparoscope—a long, thin tube with a high-intensity light and a high-resolution camera at the front—is inserted through a small incision in the abdominal wall. The camera transmits images to a monitor, giving the surgeon a clear view of the abdominal organs. This technique is commonly used for diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions, including appendicitis, gallbladder disease, and endometriosis.
