Yoga : A Natural Way To Keep Healthy

1. Virabhadrasana
This posture helps strengthen your shoulders, arms, legs, and back. Also, it builds stamina and improves balance. Stand straight and take a jump to place your feet apart. Raise both arms equivalent to the floor and turn towards your left. Now place your left foot perpendicular to the floor and bend your left knee. Let your hips stay at the same angle as your arms and try to remain in this position for at least 30 seconds to a minute.
2. Baddha Konasana (Bound Angle Pose)
This pose helps stimulate the abdominal organs, bladder, ovaries and prostate gland, and kidneys. It maintains general circulation and keeps the heart healthy. It plays a significant role in relieving mild depression and anxiety and fatigue. Regular practice of this asana is known to ease childbirth. To perform this yoga posture sit with your legs straight out in front of you. Exhale, and bow your knees with your heels toward your pelvis.
Now place your knees towards the sides and unite the soles of your feet together and press them. Try to bring your heels as close as possible to the pelvis. Hold your toe while keeping the outer edges of your foot firmly on the floor. Sit straight and don’t force your knees down. Stay comfortable and release the top of the thigh bones toward the ground. Stay in this position for at least a minute to five minutes.
3. Bhastrika Pranayama
Pranayama is all about breath control. Consistent practice of pranayama is said to relieve symptoms of asthma and also helps in relieving any form of stress and other related disorders like anxiety and depression. To perform this exercise, sit cross-legged and deep breathe. Feel your diaphragm move down to allow your lungs and chest to expand. Exhale quickly through your nostrils and repeat this process as fast as possible, almost like a rapid deflation process.
